Trullo Madia

Approximately 4km from Cisternino, the garden and pool of the family-friendly Trullo Madia overlook a lovely valley – a wooded landscape with glimpses of Trulli cones, in the distance. In an elevated position, the detached self-catering Trullo Madia is private and tranquil. The pool “with a view” seems to be almost an infinity pool, on the edge of the garden. Surrounded by extensive lawned terraces and an absolutely delightful Mediterranean garden, with lavender, petunias, olive and pomegranate trees, Trullo Madia really seems like a slice of paradise. The outside area with its covered gazebo, built-in barbecue and table and chairs, as well as a large sink, is perfect for relaxing al fresco.

Huge chunks of local limestone adorn the garden terraces. Trullo Madia itself is a masterpiece of exposed stone and, even the light fittings have been lovingly made by the owner. Inside and out, the two-bedroomed Trullo Madia has retained a traditional charm, but also has good comfortable, modern standards, with some attractive Italian personal touches.

The compact live-in kitchen is in a Trullo cone and has a single run of kitchen units, with sink and hob, and a dining table and chairs, as well as a fireplace with a wood-burning stove, and built-in seating with cushions. The kitchen of Trullo Madia leads onto an absolutely charming collonaded, covered terrace, which is yet another area for eating outside. A corridor leads off the kitchen to one double bedroom, one double/twin room, the shower room, and a small utility room with a washing machine. Both bedrooms and even the shower room have stone barrel vaulted ceilings. 

Trullo Madia is great for a couple, two couples or for a family.
