Step Inside Timeless Charm

Stay in a Traditional Trullo in Puglia

Long Travel began over 35 years ago with a simple idea — to offer travellers the chance to stay in authentic Trulli houses, unique to Puglia in southern Italy. Today, that heritage remains at the heart of what we do, with a carefully curated collection of beautiful Trulli stays that combine character, comfort, and a true sense of place.

A little history
Trulli (the plural of trullo) have shaped Puglia’s landscape for centuries. Originally built as rural dwellings using traditional dry-stone techniques, their thick limestone walls and conical roofs were designed to keep interiors cool in summer and warm in winter.

These distinctive structures are not only practical but visually iconic, most famously found in Alberobello, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Today, many Trulli have been thoughtfully restored, offering a unique blend of rustic charm and modern living.

Staying in a trullo is more than just accommodation — it’s an opportunity to experience a piece of Italian history, surrounded by olive groves, vineyards, and the timeless beauty of southern Italy.

5 bedrooms
4.5 bathrooms
1° floor

Trulli Andel is an exceptional retreat set between Ostuni and Cisternino, in the heart of the stunning Itria Valley. Blending timeless architecture with modern comfort, it offers an authentic trullo experience just a short drive from the Adriatic coast.

The property accommodates up to seven guests across two independent, air-conditioned residences — a main house and a charming trullo annexe — providing both space and privacy.

At its centre is a private infinity pool, surrounded by landscaped gardens and shaded lounge areas. An outdoor dining space with barbecue creates the perfect setting for long, relaxed evenings under the stars.

Inside, the main house features original details including exposed stone, wooden beams, and a traditional fireplace, complemented by elegant interiors. It includes a fully equipped kitchen, spacious living areas, two double bedrooms, a single sofa bed, and two bathrooms.

The separate trullo annexe offers a more intimate space, complete with a double bedroom, bathroom, and kitchenette.

Ideally located, guests can easily explore the whitewashed streets of Ostuni, the charm of Cisternino, nearby Blue Flag beaches, and the natural beauty of the surrounding countryside.

Villas & Apartments FAQs

Villas & Apartments FAQs

Are the villas and apartments inspected?

Yes. Every hotel and property we offer has been personally visited by a member of our team. Many of our team members also live locally in Italy, so our knowledge goes beyond a single inspection visit.

Do properties come with staff or services?

This varies by property. Boutique hotels typically include front-of-house staff, concierge services, and breakfast as standard. For villas and apartments, services such as housekeeping, a private chef, or a welcome hamper can often be arranged. We will always talk you through exactly what is included when we recommend a property.

Is there a minimum stay?

Minimum stay requirements vary depending on the property, region, and time of year. Some boutique hotels have no minimum, while certain villas, particularly in peak season, may require a minimum of seven nights. We will confirm all requirements when we put your itinerary together.
